Sir Maldoror here, hoping everyone is finishing the year in great spirits, and are getting ready for another cycle. The Slowcraft Maldoror Shop/Taller has been busy with infrastructural work. My Santee shop was closed in September, and I started working on getting everything ready for my new work space. The new space is much smaller, but my overheard cost will be reduced significantly. I’ll start posting photos of the new space once the flooring is complete, we are still at 45%, since we needed to start the foundation from scratch! My electrician will also rewire the space since I’ve got some new tools to help to get the job done.

Union Carbide Linde UCC-305 TIG/Stick welder…a 900lb behemoth.

Custom Made for Slowcraft Maldoror Fork Fixture. Now I’ll be able to braze forks, and rear triangles.

Standridge 24″ x 36″ x 4″ granite table at .0005″ flatness, with new tooling, and stand.

Wilton Vises, and much more tooling and fixturing.

In the prototype phase still is a new Slowcraft Maldoror Vertical frame fixture. This is going to be sweet, less space and precision fixturing. Also, molds and benders for radical radi metal crafting: fenders, racks, gas tanks, cages, etc.

Also, since our digital media department is still in R & D phase, we are continuing to focus on PRINT MEDIA: I will be posting photos of our new brochure exhibited at the SD Custom Bicycle Show. These were printed by Florence Ashford at Bay Park Press. She does superior letterpress printing and design work, and I’m glad I had the opportunity to have her do my brochures.

Please inquire about our brochure, we can send one to you snail mail. Please keep in mind that these are extremely limited, and they are going fast. I’ve got numbers 30-78, of 145 left.

I’ve been neglecting my blog not because there hasn’t been important events, but I’ve had to move from our old apartment and setting up our office has taken much longer than expected. With got new wooden floors, new white walls that are waiting to be colored, new images frames, new windows to see out into the daylight, it’s Spring.

I saw the sunrise come up from mountain San Miguel. It gave birth to the spring sun, it was beautiful. I’ll have to wait for next Spring equinox to take some pictures.  

Reginas bicycle is coming along beautifully. I’ll be show casing this at the San Diego Custom Bicycle Show, this coming April. 

Brian and Ybarrola have been at the helm of this show, and it looks like its going to be great. 

Florencia is printing some materials for me, and Chikle will be helping me also. I’ll be posting some pictures up soon. If you don’t have a chance to come to the San Diego Custom Bicycle Show, check back to my new E-Billboard, coming up SOON!…

The main triangle was tacked, brazed, and then checked for alignment and twist. These are modified Prugnant lugs with a vintage Columbus SL tubeset.

     Slowcraft Maldoror has been busy in the Shop cooking up some new frames. There’s a “Dark Roast” road bike going up to to Julian this weekend. Omar’s road frame was completed some months ago. But it took some time to have it built up. I’ll be posting some pictures of this construction.

     In the works is a nice Road frame for Regina: modified Prugnant Lugs with extensive hand filing, vintage Columbus SL tubing, and Campy Drop-Outs. See pictures.

     Also in the kitchen: a nice small frame for Teresa. I’m making these lugs from scratch and bonding them to Vintage Columbus SL tubes. A fast city road bike. It’s taking a bit longer since my fork fixture is still being fabricated.
